ABOUT MY LIFE
I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, surrounded by beautiful mountains and tropical weather. At age 12,
my family and I went to live in Brazil for a few years. That was the beginning of a life full of travel,
music, and soccer.
After studying Industrial Engineering in Colombia, I spent ten years marketing,
selling, using, and implementing information technologies in four continents.
[CV]. I became fascinated with the widespread economic and social consequences of advanced
information technology, which led me to pursue an academic career in Information Systems.
